CATANZARO - stolica Kalabrii - the capital of Calabria

Catanzaro (Kalabria) - to stolica regionu i zarazem jedno z najwazniejszych miast (obok Reggio Calabria). Centrum miasta i zarazem jego najstarsza czesc odbiega troche stylem od malych kalabryjskich miasteczek o ktorych wspominalam juz wczesniej.

W centrum miasta znajduje sie uroczy Piazza Matteotti, a przy nim dwa wazne pominiki: Monumenti ai Caduti della Grande Guerra poswiecony pamieci ofiar Pierwszej Wojny Swiatowej, oraz Fontana il Cavatore. 

Catanzaro (Calabria) - it is the capital of the region and also one of the most important cities (with Reggio Calabria). The center and also the oldest part of the city have a style which differs a little from the small Calabrian towns I mentioned earlier.

In the city center we find the charming Matteotti square, with two important monuments: the statue dedicated to the memory of the victims of the First World War, and the fountain il Cavatore.

Od Placu odchodzi glowna ulica miasta Corso Mazzini, przy ktorej znajduja sie najwazniejsze urzedy i instytucje miasta i regionu. 

Along the main street Corso Mazzini, there are the most important offices and institutions of the city and the region.

W centrum starego miasta znajduja sie rowniez ciakawe architektonicznie i stylowo koscioly, a wsrod nich piekna katedra. 

In the center of the old town there are many churches, and among them the beautiful cathedral.

W ostatnich latach czesto odwiedzanym przez turystow budynkiem jest nowy teatr, zbudowany w iscie nowatorskim stylu. 

In recent years, tourists visit also the new theater, built in a truly innovative design.
